James Bond has managed to burn screen with his panache and style. His sizzling looks, sleek gadgets, posh cars, lithe moves and gorgeous girls-all form the overwhelming presence of 007, the secret agent from England. No wonder boys love to dress up as 007 in theme parties. There is a secret desire in every boy to be the charismatic 007 who can sweep women with one smoldering look.

Most outfits are available in stores. But one can definitely add their own ideas making some modifications in the dress. The basic style comprises a white shirt, with a sharp crisp suit and black knitted silk ties. The sophistication is hard to miss. Often the suit can be replaced with either a dinner jacket or a tuxedo. Even black leather slip-ons can be added to the dress. As for the dinner jackets they are easily available in any of the departmental stores. There will be different sizes available. If you want, you can even rent one from thrift or a second hand store. As for the trousers and shirts, they are always available at homes.

Even girls can look almost lethal in 007 costumes. They can look amazing in black pants and white short. Instead of black pants, they can pair the shirt with black skirts. If you want, you can use a black jacket with a black fitting zipper skirt. The back shows will complete the look. Accessories are important. You need the right accessory with the dress. You need to apply the right make-up with the dress. Just apply simple mascara on the eyes and you sport the look of 007. If you want to be more authentic, you can add a watch or a gun specific to the 007 costume.

You can get the dressing material from any retail stores. Or if you want, you can buy the outfits from any of the shops. The costume showrooms not only sell dresses, they also sell props and other accessories. If you want to look, just like the original superstar, you will need the right accessory to match the dress. The popularity of the Bond movies is not unknown. Boys have the secret desire to look and feel like the dashing secret agent. Even girls love to wear something unique. There are a number of manufacturers who are producing costumes for Bond and Bond girls.

If you are a girl and are invited to any of the James Bond theme parties, you can choose an elegant cocktail dress. Check all the movies and you will find that Bond’s gorgeous companion is always impeccably dressed in a lovely gown in a social gathering. As for the boys, they always want to have more fun. A tuxedo will be a good choice. But if you come to know that everyone else is wearing a tuxedo, you can get a ruffled shirt, flares or wide lapels.

Slipknot Costume

Dude! Slipknot is way F’N crazy! I’ve seen those dudes live a couple times at Ozzfest and every time I’ve seen them, I was tripping out. You gotta see how many Slipknot Costumes they have out there. These guys are marketing geniuses. I bet they make a ton of dough when it comes around Halloween.

Hailing from Des Moines Iowa, Slipknot has 9 members. Joey Jordison, Sid Wilson, Paul Gray, Jim Root, Craig Jones, Chris Fehn, Mick Thomson, Shawn Cragan and Corey Taylor. Each band member wears some of the craziest and original masks you’ve ever seen.

Slipknot is hard and heavy metal. Some call it Nu-Metal, others just call it Metal. Either way you call it, you know that you’re in for an ass kickin’ good time when you see these guys on stage.

There have been other side projects that the band members have been part of too. Joey Jordison dropped the drum kit and played guitar for Murderdolls. Vocalist Taylor and also guitarist Jim Root, revived their previous band Stone Sour and took the band to the next level. Let’s not forget the band To My Surprise, which consists of Shawn Crahan.

Nothing says bad nightmares like the band Slipknot. Their costumes are straight out of a serial killer art book and will scare just about anybody if they were coming out of a dark back alley.

Their music can best be described as heavy, sludgy, and in your face. Throw in some thrash to the mix, with some ugly characters and you got Slipknot.

We got a whole slew of Slipknot stuff here. You’ll find some of the most demented and demonic costumes around. Now the only problem that you’re going to have is figuring out which Slipknot character you’re going to dress as this Halloween.

Jeepers Creepers Costume

If you’ve seen horror movies before, you know how it goes. A couple that are on spring break decide that they wanted to go sightseeing and take the scenic route home through some really creepy part of Florida. Of course, they are run off the street by a mysterious truck. Later on, they see the same truck disposing dead bodies. Instead of calling the police and letting them handle it, they decide that they’re going to investigate the situation.

So now, you want to be The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers. The Creeper is a creature that has been around for centuries that dresses in an old, long concealing hat. Creeper also wears heavy boots in the first film. I’ve been told that in the other films he doesn’t wear any shoes or boots.

Creeper has brown and green skin and has flaps of skin in each side of his face. Some people believe that Creeper is a demon that use to be human. Creeper also has wings like a bat that goes unnoticed when he wears his jacket.

The Creeper drives a truck with a license plate number BEATNGU. At a glance, you would think it spells out Beating You, but take a closer look. Enunciate the “B” and say the rest of the letters. Yep! You know Creeper has a serious appetite now.

The Creeper is also a bit of an artist too. He took up sewing as a hobby awhile ago. What does he sew? Body parts to each other! Hungry and also multi-talented. He also likes to pickle body parts and can cut vital organs out of people and keep them alive for a short period of time.

Grossed out yet? I think I’m starting to get woozy myself. Whew! I think I need to lie down and eat a sugar cookie now.

A Leeloo Costume

Have you seen The Fifth Element? That movie is way out there and was actually ahead of its time for when it came out. How so? If you’ve seen the movie, there’s a character played by Chris Tucker that plays a celebrity in the film because he has his own reality TV show and cameras follow him around day in and day out. The reason why this film is ahead of its time is because there were no reality TV shows around when this movie came out.

Reality TV has taken over every television station. Just look at BBC now. It seems like every time I turn on BBC America, there’s nothing on that channel except for, “I use to be a Woman and now I’m a Man,” tonight on BBC America.

Leeloo was a character on The Fifth Element. The stars of the film are Bruce Willis, Chris Tucker, Gary Oldmen, and Milla Jovovich.

If you haven’t seen the movie, I suggest that you do. It’s not this groundbreaking film that’s going to change your life forever, but it’s a really good rental and you’ll be entertained.

Milla Jovovich plays Leeloo and she is super sexy in this film. Leeloo is short for her real name Leeloominaï Lekatariba Lamina-Tchaï Ekbat De Sebat. If you plan on dressing as Leeloo, it would be awesome if you knew the name by heart.

I don’t even know how to say Leeloo’s full name. Lee loo min ai Lekat ariba???

One of my favorite parts of the film, Leeloo is trying to speak to Bruce Willis in her native tongue and Bruce Willis says, “Woah! Hey! I only speak two languages, English and bad English.”

I actually found The Fifth Element at a garage sale on BluRay for $5. Can’t tell you how excited I was on this find.

Halloween Costumes Indiana Jones

OK, not to go on another rant about Indiana Jones, but I have to say I enjoyed the last Indiana Jones film. So many people were bummed out by the film? Why? Because Harrison Ford is old? Who else would have replaced him? NOBODY

An Indiana Jones costume is the ideal threads for this Halloween. How many times a year do you get to wear a cool hat and carry a whip around? Grow out your five o clock shadow to get the real Doctor Jones feel. But what if you’re a woman wanting to be Indiana Jones? A little make up should do the trick. There wouldn’t be anything sexier than a girl dressed up as Indiana Jones with the whip and the hat. Now that I think about it, there’s no need for the beard.

You have to watch out for those whips though. They can really put a hurting on somebody if you’re not careful, and I mean in a “not so playful” way.

So the question that I have is, are they planning on releasing new Indiana Jones films with the son? It could be interesting if played out right. Plus I don’t think George Lucas is planning anymore Star Wars films, so it could keep him busy for awhile.

A note to George Lucas: Quit making those Star Wars cartoons. You’re bumming out the fans with this junk. Just stop it already and focus on something new. Besides, aren’t you bored with Star Wars yet? Obviously not.

Also, I don’t suggest going to a Halloween Party and using your whip to swing over to the keg. That’s not good manners.

So enjoy yourselves this Halloween and if you do decide to go as Indiana Jones this year, don’t whip and drive.

Darth Vader Costume

If you read my rant about how I had a Gene Simmons costume for Halloween when I was a kid, I also had a Darth Vader Costume too. I wore my plastic Darth Vader costume for weeks after Halloween. I remember slipping into that plastic stuff that they use to make costumes out of and putting my plastic Darth Vader mask on with that cheap rubber band that was always stapled to the side of the mask. Those were the days.

Whenever my friends and I would play Star Wars, I was always Darth Vader. Everybody always wanted to be the good guys, so there were no fights over who was going to be Lord Vader. I bet all of these people I use to play with wake up in a cold sweat at night wishing they could have been Darth Vader. Maybe this Halloween they’ll be picking up a life size Darth Vader Costume here.

Consider this. After buying a Darth Vader costume as cool as these, not only will you be the hit of the party, but you’ll be the hit of all the comic book conventions too. Darth Vader costumes are chick magnets! You think I’m kidding? I attend the biggest comic book convention in the world every year, Comicon, and every Darth Vader I see has girls around him.

Seriously, have you ever seen anybody dressed up as the whiney Luke Skywalker and scored chicks on Halloween? No! Why? Because in the first film (Episode IV, AKA that first movie) Luke Skywalker is wearing a bath robe. If Luke grew out his beard and drank Caucasians (I call them White Russians), people would mistake him as “The Dude.” But what do you expect from a guy from Tatooine? It seems like the fashionable dress on his planet is robes. Jawas wear robes, Sand People wore robes, etc…

Gene Simmons Costume

(In my best Paul Stanley Impersonation I Could Do)Alright now! Halloween is gonna be a hot night! You want do dress as Gene Simmons that night! You want the best!? Well you got the best! The greatest band in the land… KISS!!!!

Looking to hook up a Gene Simmons Costume? You’re my kind of crowd. When I was 5 years old, I was obsessed with Kiss. Gene Simmons was my all time favorite Kiss character. I found one of those plastic Gene Simmons costumes as a kid and had to have it! Honestly, to this day, it’s still one of the most memorable Halloween costumes I can remember.

Kiss F’N rules! And you rule for wanting to be Gene Simmons for Halloween!

So nowadays, what Kiss costumes would I dress up as for Halloween besides Gene Simmons? Peter Criss was the Cat Man and I would never want to be a pussy cat. Besides, wasn’t he the one that always use to bum out Kiss fans like me with that pansy Beth song? OK, we have a demon, the star child, the space ace, and a cat that slows down the party with a love song. Let’s beat him up! No just kidding. He was a member of Kiss and should be given respect.

What about Space Ace? I love Ace Frehley, but I don’t think I would be a good space ace. You gotta have that New York groove, which is something I don’t have being from Los Angeles and all.

What about a Paul Stanley costume? I don’t have a hairy enough chest. I’ve tried to grow my 7 chest hairs, but my wife plucks them every time they start to get long. Damn her!

I guess I would go as Vinnie Vincent. About 80% of you are probably scratching your heads and wondering, who the hell is Vinnie Vincent. I’m not going to say anything bad about Vinnie because I believe he’s suing Gene Simmons and Google right now as you’re reading this. So no rumors, no gossip, but I do have to say Vinnie Vincent was the best guitarist that Kiss ever had. There I said it! He use to dress up as some guy who had an ankh painted on his face. Some Egyptian God or something. Bam! I’m going as Vinnie Vincent!

Cyndi Lauper Halloween Costumes

Sheebop! Sheebop du lay bop! Or however that song goes. Back in the 80’s my sister dressed up in a Cyndi Lauper Halloween Costume. Who would of thought that over all of these years, Cyndi Lauper would still be famous and people wanting to dress as her.

If you’re planning an 80’s themed Halloween costume party, this will be the hit of the party. They’ll see your true colors shining through, they’ll see your true colors and that’s why they’ll love you. So don’t be afraid! Well anyways…

Don’t forget about Madonna too. Her “Like a Virgin” era would be perfect for a Halloween costume. Maybe Robert Smith from the Cure?

Remember those old Breakin’ movies? There was Shabba Doo, Turbo and some other people that I can’t remember their name for the life of me. Learn some old Break Dance moves, rock out to some old school Chaka Kahn and throw down some poppin’ and lockin’. Just remember if you get into a throw down that the ending move is the most important move. Just cross your arms and give your opponent a serious look. OOOOH! FACE!!!!!! Now we’re talking 80’s!

Remember Punky Brewster? Now that was a zany outfit. How about that crazy 80’s film Flashdance? SHE’S A MANIAC! MANIAC! Sorry. Getting too carried away with this website.

Are you more of a Rocker more than a Break Dancer? How about dressing up as Axl Rose from Guns N’ Roses? Let’s not forget Dee Snyder from Twisted Sister too. I WANNA ROCK!

Daniel from The Karate Kid would be a good costume, as long as somebody doesn’t try to get you to sand the floor.

And let’s not forget movies such as Pretty in Pink and The Breakfast Club. Nothing says 80’s fashion like these films.

Anba Dlo Festival

OK! You’re planning on going to the New Orleans Anba Dlo Halloween Festival, but you’re not too sure about a costume yet. Maybe you don’t know what kind of theme they have at Anba Dlo.

To break it down, Anba Dlo is Kréyol for “Under the Waters” The festival is referred to the realm of departed souls. On all Hallows Eve, (AKA Halloween to those who are unaware of the term) the day of remembrance for the dead are called forth to celebrate. In New Orleans, this name has special resonance; the city has been called up from Under the Waters to rise, rebuild and heal.

It is not mandatory to dress the theme. Oh! By the way, the theme is costumes for under the sea, such as mermen, mermaids, etc.

If you want to stick to the water theme, you can always go as a Sailor, or how about a Pirate? Maybe some Mardi Gras costumes?

You could also go as a shark, or wouldn’t the best costume be a lobster? If you’re bringing children, maybe you could dress them up as Spongebob Squarepants.

Maybe dig a little into Greek mythology and try out Triton, the merman Sea God! Your friends will be amazed when you claim your name as Triton the Merman Sea God.

Does Anba Dlo sound interesting? It should. The best time to visit New Orleans, apart from Mardi Gras is Halloween for the Anba Dlo festival.

Thousands of people dress in the funkiest, weirdest, most original costumes you can imagine. There is a costume contest, a giant parade, a dance floor with various types of music.

There will be art, dance, fire, and some of the most unique costumes and fun that you’ve ever seen in a Halloween party.

Oh and I forgot to mention that Anba Dlo Festival will also have some of the craziest, mind bending haunted houses around.

Prepare for the Halloween party of your life.

Bonnie and Clyde Costumes

OK! I can tell that you’re getting warmer to coming up with an idea for you and your partners costume. Looking into a Bonnie and Clyde themed costume? You’ve come to the right place.

If you’re going as Bonnie, you’re going to need a blonde wig, a black dress, fish net stockings, necklaces, a black headband that can also be used to add white feathers.

Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were outlaws that were famous for several robberies in the great depression. Everybody knew Bonnie and Clyde and are still talked about today. They preferred to rob small gas stations and stores.

After killing numerous people, Bonnie and Clyde were ambushed by New Orleans Police. People testified that Bonnie was never seen firing a gun. Even though there were claims that she never fired a gun, she was known to be able to load a gun quickly.
