If you want something stylish and cute, go for a Princess costume.
Maybe something a little more modern? Think about some of the films that were released this year. Or some of the films to be released in the near future. Remember the Disney film Tron? It just so happens that they’re releasing a new Tron film. Be the hip, slick and informed one at the party by dressing up in a Tron costume. Or how about Quentin Tarantino’s film Inglorious Basterds? There are many costume opportunities in that film.
Still in a panic? Don’t worry. How about James Bond? Vesper? Jack Sparrow?
How about thinking about Marvel comics and DC comics? Any super heroes that you loved as a child? Yeah! Now we’re talking!
Also consider things, such as when you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? An astronaut? A rock star?
A rock star is never passé; so don’t be afraid to experiment with this. Just remember that the costume is only part of it. Now you have to be the character. Are you going as Keith Richards for Halloween? Grab that bottle of whiskey and take a few swigs to get that slurring sound on your speech? Just a joke! We don’t encourage heavy drinking, but it’s helped me over the years.
OK, now what if you’re going to a party as a couple? Are you planning on going with a theme with you and your partner? First things first, does your partner know that you’re planning on dressing as a couple? The hardest part will be finding something that the both of you will agree on.
Nothing says Halloween like some nice biblical characters. How about Adam and Eve? No! I’m not talking about going naked. Maybe a full body suit to prevent you from getting arrested.
How about a bull and a matador? Chess King and Chess Queen? Now we’re really getting original.
How about a hunter and a deer? A Mexican and a border patrol guard? Or maybe a pimp and a ho?
Do you have children? How about some costume ideas such as an elephant? Harry Potter? A Flintstone character?
Nothing says childish humor like fart jokes. Consider a whoopee cushion costume for your child.
Remember what I said before about super hero costumes. I’m sure your child has several super heroes that they love. Consider a Spiderman costume. How about an Iron Man costume? The possibilities are endless.
Now that we’ve given you several costume ideas, we’re sure that you’re not as worried about finding a costume now.
Have a fun and safe Halloween.
